Dr. Ravi Lokesh Kumar Yellamelli was born in a Hindu religion. His parents Murthy and Savithri got saved from Hindu backgrounds. Ravi Lokesh was encountered by Jesus and accepted Him as his personal savior at the age of fifteen. He wanted to do a job a earn money and support his parents until he received a higher call from God through Jeremiah 1:4,5. He waited on the Lord patiently and when he was sure of His calling in various ways, he dedicated himself and started ministry at a very young age of 19. He recognized that God called him to shine the light of his love, salvation and deliverance into the people’s lives so that they can be free to enjoy their God- given inheritance.
Ravi Lokesh is senior pastor in Sion Church Ministries and founder & Executive Director in Work for Good Foundation. He is an enthusiastic preacher, singer and bible teacher in North Carolina Theological Seminary. With more than three decades of full-time ministry he is proclaiming the gospel of a Jesus Christ around the world through preaching and teaching. He travelled hundreds of villages and cities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and many of them accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. God took him to different countries like USA, Singapore, Thailand & Malaysia to share His word. His preaching has a unique concept and presentation. He preaches not only in large crusades but also in streets and marketplaces.
He encourages students to study well and he himself set a good example by completing his Doctorate in theology from North Carolina Theological Seminary, Clinton, North Carolina, USA and was awarded Great Humanitarian National Award- 2021 for his fruitful ministry. His teachings encourage everyone to read and meditate this precious Word daily. He is known for teaching God’s word in a fresh, practical, and revelatory way that always unveils Jesus.
Ravi Lokesh as Pastor, teacher and conference speaker to transform many lives, setting people flee from the heavy yoke of the law, guilt and condemnation by pointing them to Jesus and His finished work at Calvary.
In the year 2000, He got married to Prathibha, she is also committed for the ministry of God. Almighty God blessed her with lot of Spiritual gifts and serving the Lord full time along with Dr. Ravi. God blessed both of them with two daughters Shulamite Rani and Angel.
Our Goal
Our goal is to improve access and brings people and organizations closer to realizing a poverty-free India.
But while working on the ground, we realized that child education cannot be done in isolation, without ensuring the welfare of the whole family. Health is also a part of education. A child will not go to school if he is sick. If a child’s parents are afflicted with health problems, he might drop-out of school and start earning instead. Unless the mother is healthy and empowered, the child cannot be either. It is all interlinked.
Our other programmers evolved as a logical progression to our education programmer – be it livelihood, health or women empowerment. Today, children and education continue to remain at the Centre of all we do, but through the lifecycle approach we also address the needs of the children’s families and communities.
